Magic...Magic...Magic

*title courtesy of The Nutcracker (only part where there is "talking")

Let's just take a moment of silence as we observe
the beauty that is their feet. Simply gorgeous.
Well I'm sad to say that Christmas day is almost over. SAY IT AIN'T SO! :( So to relish in this moment for a little longer I am painting my nails red and watching The Nutcracker as performed by the San Francisco Ballet (they are brilliant...of course) A part of me is sad that I never had the chance to be in a production of The Nutcracker; I've always envisioned myself as one of Mother (idk how to spell her name..) children so often that I eventually convinced myself that if I learned the part someone would ask me to do it. I'm a dreamer.
I just realized that I've been humming all the songs the whole time without realizing. Love this.
My nails are so red right now I could cry because I'm so happy. Christmas doesn't end for Simone on December 26. Oh no it does not.
Well anyway, Christmas today was beautimous, but I'll blog about that tomorrow...after I go shopping...and filling out the rest of my college apps (legit all I have left is a short essay for the common app and another that's less than 500 words...not difficult...I just like to procrastinate I guess...meh).

Christmastime Is Here

The title says it all.
In less than eight minutes Christmas day will be upon us; well, upon everyone on the east coast of the U.S.; everyone else will have to wait a few more hours. Sorry for that.
And sorry I haven't blogged in a while. Part of the reason was because whenever I tried to log in to blog about the important/interesting milestones that occurred in my life over the past six or so months (and there have been some!), I used the wrong 'log in ID' so I thought my blog had been deleted! Silly me. I realized my mistake earlier this week, so excuse me while I catch you all (I still like to pretend there are people out there who care) up on the past events of my life. I'll just list a few to "stir the pot" if you will.
I went to PULSE again...met Ian Eastwood (loved his class, loved him...he gives nice hugs)..received a dance scholarship from PULSE...applied to a few colleges...figured out what I was going to do with my life (college/career)...realized I actually didn't know what I was doing with my life and decided to start the application process all over again (still not done)...got a phone (a real one!)...performed in my last Christmas show with the company (tears)...inducted into Spanish Honor Society...bought a pair of Madden Girl combat boots (yes, this was important).
That was only a few of the things that have happened over the past half year. I'll post about them soon, no worries.
Now if you'll excuse me, there's less than one minute until Christmas, and I have some celebrating to do; baby Jesus was born on this night if you didn't know. Kind of a big deal.
CHRISTMAS! Merry Christmas, everyone!

For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given..

Isaiah 9:6

Geez. I love Christmas.

Ps: Ignore the photo if you choose. It's the only Christmas(y) photo I have on the computer right now ( we were Christmas shopping, so it's legit)...The bear's name is Teddy :)

Pinterest...

<3...is taking over my life. That's all.
JOKES! I haven't been here in so long, but I am NOT going to try to do that thing I sometimes do where I haven't blogged in a while so I then try to fit every detail of my life over the past month into one or two blog posts. Eh eh...Ain't gonna happen. Sorry. I did graduate though...from Junior year; which now makes me a...SENIOR! What, what!

Currently I'm sitting here, typing, pinning obnoxiously, and attempting to choreograph. Only the first three are actually happening. I don't necessarily have to have anything done for a while, but since I already know that I will have to do one for recitals again next year, I'm trying to get the ball rolling and pretend to be proactive. Hopefully I'll be done before summer gets out. That would be ideal. That way I can practice every week, and by the time recitals week rolls around next year, people would have heard about it already and would have made plans to hire me right out of high school.'People' possibly meaning Travis Wall and TOKYO...if you want to name names...which I do.

OH! Ian Eastwood is coming to Atlanta. In November. With the PULSE. Hold the phone. I'm already preparing myself emotionally not to cry when I meet him.165 Days! I'm not going to make it! AHH!

The difference between try and triumph is a little umph.I also have a pretty intense countdown for the 2012 Olympics going...48 Days, 23 Hours, 42 minutes, and 41 seconds....At least that was the time when I was typing. Now, it's a different story.
Either way, I"M SO EXCITED!!

And I've decided C.S. Lewis was ridiculously wise. That's all.

I didn't know what pictures to include...so they were random. You're welcome.

This is how we do it!

*Song courtesy of Montell Jordan...he has other good stuff out there, too...like Shake Heavens...Just throwing it out there*

THIRD BLOG POST OF THE NIGHT! WHAT WHAT!? Sorry for the caps...I'm excited about life.
Senior letters are killing me right now...but really.
...WHAT?!...
And I've decided who I would be if I were born again into another human (bear with me...): <---that's not a smiley face...Danielle Peazer. Know her...Liam Payne's girlfriend...boy from 1D (if you don't know what that means...excuse me while I go cry...in a cave...in my room.). Here's her face. More importantly, here's her hair. It is beautimous. Not that she doesn't have a nice face, she's beautiful. But I want her hair; I'm content with my baby face. Oh heavens. They are beautiful. LOOK AT HER HAIR! Ohhh! Yes.

What else...I realize every Thursday night I do this REALLY unhealthy thing to myself where I tell myself "I don't mind staying up late because tomorrow is Friday; the last day of the week." Yeah crazy girl, the last day of the week which means you've been up and moving since 1995 and you should lie down and rest! There's no talking sense into this one...tsk tsk tsk.
CURLS!
Yeah...well.
You know what else I just realized..."tsk tsk tsk" is never spelled out like "tisk tisk tisk" but everyone understands. It's like a secret message that everyone knows the code to. Kind of.
yes. yes. yes. this is my kid. curly hair and chubby cheeks.
Either we are somehow
related..or we're
going to be
Anyway...dance is going wonderfully, but I won't discuss that now. The topic will show up soon in another blog post, though. Don't you fret Melody Anne. <---- SHOUT OUT! I like/love her, so it was necessary. She's my "biggest fan," or something like that. I don't know.

I have also discovered my future children. I don't think an explanation is needed, so I won't give one.

I believe in SHARPIES a lot as of late. Like...a lot. Like I write everything in SHARPIE and I use every color possible so none of them will feel left out. The system works.

I also believe VERY strongly in food. This one is bad... Like sometimes I finish people's food...I used to be the girl who had her food finished...Hmmm...For a while I was making 24-28 cupcakes each weekend, and eating around 17 per day. That's an exaggeration (won't mention if it's slight or drastic...), but you get the picture. I was getting out of control, so my mom cut me off. I feel like if I should be cut off from anything it should be from something like I should be next in line for the Royal Family and getting cut off from the throne, or next in line at Little Ceaser's and cut off in line by the super hairy man you're too scared to confront--pretty much cut from anything but cupcakes. That's where I draw the frosting. With sprinkles.
Where it all began...
And then ended
Not even half...

Sometimes...

*I cannot actually tell you who wrote this song...because it was a feeling at the moment...sorry...*

.
*sigh* Love him.
Sooo....Where to start, where to start. Well, here's the good news: I'm failing physics. Actually I'm not and I should stop saying that. I am passing physics because Jesus loves me and invented psychics. Therefore, this semester (which ends in 3 weeks as of today O.o) I will pass with an A. InyofaceMrWhite! Booyah!
Moving on. I have an inquiry project for AP Lang due...on the last day of school *looks annoyingly from side to side with squinted eyes* <--- yeah, that really did just happen. I won't go into great detail because that would just take too long, and, baby, I'm running out of time. I'm sorry. My topic is the American Dream, though. If that means anything to you. No? Okay, I'll explain more. We had to choose our own topic and read three books about it, then in the end (this is the end) we create a project to represent our topic as best we can. Like I said, I chose the American Dream, and my books were: Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates, A Raising in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry, and The Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner; I'm pleased with my choices. Well, for my project I'm going to record the elementary school kids I tutor on Mondays telling me what their hopes and dreams are for the future and then record them doing their dream. The end, my favorite part, I will have different clips of all their faces and the pictures will be like those fast-shifting ones that end on one face...yes! I don't know who I'm using as the final face...maybe all of them...that work? Good. That's the gist, it will be WAY more interesting when this finishes.
Courage
He's a smart guy, too.
I was looking at what I've written so far and I didn't understand why my page looked so blank. And then it came to me: "No pictures, silly girl!" Yes, I do have dialog with myself and call myself by a different name. All kinds of normalness happening here. Including that word...normalness. Word.
I have a psychics project due too. A Rube Goldberg project due next Monday, the 14th. Not talking about it.
I'M ALMOST A SENIOR! I want to cry. Because I'm scared and I don't think this is supposed to be happening. Not that I don't want to grow up, I just think this is the wrong Simone Stevens that's becoming a "big kid". Maybe tomorrow my theory will be proven right, and I will wake up at 7:30 to go to middle school instead of 5:30 to go to high school.
I'll let you know how that goes.

*The pictures are meant to be inspiring. Go with it. Please.*
*Feel free to check out my pinterest...*AHEM*....http://pinterest.com/jumpingshrimp/...that's where the pictures were taken from...after they were taken from somewhere else...and then somewhere else...*

People Help The People

*Title courtesy of People Help the People by Birdy*
Well, I could use some help right now. I just got home, you see, and I would really appreciate if someone helped me unpacked. Otherwise, I'm completely content with living out of my suitcase until, oh I don't know, summer. But for real.
In other news, now that I'm back home I get to use the laptop that doesn't have the broken apostrophe button! Yay!That also means that I don't have to keep logging into websites every time I exit out of the internet because this laptop, my baby, knows me!
SN: I've been told that exclamation points are cheesy, but I don't really care right now. I'm excited to be home, my room smells like fresh air, and I don't mind cheese. On the contrary, cheese is my favorite dairy product. I feel like this should be a scene in She's The Man-- "Why yes I do, my favorite's Gouda." Good stuff.
