Alvin Ailey "Revelations" |
It's official, I'm marrying a male dancer.
askjfhoefiywhefk, lkdsfhlhwek,n,k! Oh em gee! Alvin Ailey is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. I went to see their show today for the first time at the FOX in Atlanta and nearly died. Actually, I think I was dead until I saw their performance and now I'm alive. INCREDIBLE! I don't even know how people can move like that.
There were a couple things I noticed about ALL of the dancers, male and female. One--they all had INCREDIBLE abs. Like six packs were the minimum. Two: All the ladies had the most beautiful hair in the world; some of them were bald, but it doesn't matter because they were GORGEOUS; the ones that had hair had HAIR, like crazy curly, poofy hair that everyone and their mother and children desire. Three: This one isn't a shocker, but they were FLIPPIN INSANE TO WATCH!

Everybody, meet Kirven Boyd. Did I mention
I got a poster of him doing this.
It's being framed. Tonight. |
We sat next to a guy, well actually my mom sat next to him but that's not important. What's important is that he had a cousin who was dancing in the show. She was phenomenal. And tiny. So I liked her even more; not biased or anything. Anyway, he mentioned she went to school in New York, but failed to mention which one it was: Julliard. Whateva. He thought everyone had to go there to be accepted into AAADT. Funny guy. Then he got even funnier! After the show he introduced me to his cousin; it took EVERYTHING in me not to trample the girl, whose name, by the way, is Kelly Robotham. She autographed my 2011-2012 Souvenir Book AND took a picture with me; a picture that will be my FB profile picture until the day I meet Kirven Boyd or Linda Celeste Sims (look them up. they dance with AAADT too.). I literally screamed the entire way home. Not always out loud though; couldn't upset the peoples. I did scream when we were leaving, however. Since I didn't get to meet Linda Celeste Sims or Kirven Boyd, I screamed out that I loved them when I was in the parking lot. If I weren't on such a high from meeting Kelly, I probably wouldn't have done that. Or at least if I had, I would have been embarrassed.
Today was the best day of my life. No exaggeration. *deep sigh*
I'm creating an Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater wall in my room. It will be fantastico; I felt Espanol was necessary there.
My dream is to dance with them. Soon. And don't think I don't mean it, either. ;)
See you soon.
